    • Member of team involved in the development of Medtech Innovation Briefing (MIB) and clinical guidelines for IBD prognostic test with NICE

    1997-2001 - Senior Director Operations and Product Manager

    Development and implementation of marketing campaigns, working closely with sales to identify and close leads delivering multi-million dollar revenues.  Autonomous management responsibility for Incyte’s UK Laboratory Operations, managing a multi-million dollar budget with P&L responsibility.  Respondent to due diligence as part of Incyte’s acquisition of Hexagen.  Re-engineered processes to generate a three-fold increase in throughput and a 50% reduction in cost.

    Founding team-member at the Sanger Centre

    Hinxton, UK

    Post-doctoral position with Sir John Sulston working on nematode and human genome projects. This period covered the founding of the Sanger Centre (Hinxton), and the opportunity to develop management skills through recruiting, training and motivating teams and team leaders.
